Quilt Bloggers Quilt Festival - Spring 2013

Yes!  It's that time again.  Time for the fabulous Quilt Bloggers Quilt Festival over at Amyscreativeside.com

This year I am entering this quilt.  I like to think of it as a 30's quilt with a Modern twist.  It was SO much fun to quilt!  First I sketched out my quilting....

Then I SND and quilted the outer border...

Then on to the inner border.  I have to say that this was my first attempt at this checkerboard quilting pattern...but I LOVE the way it turned out!

I didn't think that it could be any more fun than I was already having, but the body of the quilt was a BLAST!  Swirlys and feather galore!

And the back of the quilt...looks like Marshmallow creme to me.

This quilt was pieced by my Bestie....Carolyn Davis.  She loves 30's fabrics and I was honored to quilt this top for her.
Thanks to Amy's Creative Side for again hosting a great Quilt Blogger's Festival!  Be sure to visit her page and vote for our quilt beginning on May 24th!  The link below will take you to the contest page, then scroll down through the categories to the 'Professionally Quilted' category.  Click on 'Professionally Quilted Category'.  Our quilt is number 8 (eight)....And hey, thanks for your vote!!
